I just found a wonderful website by a BYU film professor that has short documentary films about everyday Mormons. It's called Fit For the Kingdom. I've watched the last four: Ramona is about a stay-at-home mom who used to be a professor at BYU, Rusty is about a recovering alcoholic weightlifter-poet, Leroy is about a crossing guard in Provo, and Heather is about a handicapped young girl who reminds me a lot of Laura Schwab.
So go to the website and watch some of them and then come back here and add a comment and tell us all what you thought. Please! It's worth it!

Sorry, but I found these to be without point and a waste of time...
Well I thought they were poignant vignettes that captured aspects of the average member's struggles and triumphs. Very uplifting and honest and beautifully done. So there.
What a worthless waste of time. It's like watching my own life, but even more boring. There's no great moral or anything uplifting in them...just a bunch of randomness...like peeking through a key hole at various families. They have no real beginning or ending...just senselessness. There don't even deserve the comment I made here!
It's interesting to see average people's lives, which is the majority of the people here on earth. Movies often portray or glorify the wierd or eccentric or bizarre, which is 1% of the population. Why not look into the lives of the 99% every once in a while?
